Heading to the "Big Apple"

After he was placed on waivers by the Philadelphia Eagles, it didn't take long for the former seventh-round draft pick to find a new suitor: The New York Football Giants.  While in Philadelphia, Hall was used as a hybrid DE/OLB; however, while in New York it seems as though Hall will resort to his most comfortable position: defensive end.  To learn more about how the Giants made the acquisition, as well as their expectations for him this season follow this link to be directed to the New York Giants Official Site.

Giving Back

Last week New England Patriots tight end Alge Crumpler, along with Buffalo Bills outside linebacker Aaron Maybin, former Atlanta Falcon Keion Carpenter, Lonnie Harvey, and Jason Murphy were at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore to visit children as part of their "Commitment for Change Youth Football Camp".  To learn more about the visit, as well as the impact it had on the patients, click here.

Not only was Crumpler busy visiting children in the hospital, but the former New Hanover High School standout gave a substantial amount of money to his former school so that they could build a state-of-the-art locker room and workout facility.  To learn more about the excitement generated from Crumpler's donation, follow the below link:

"Tight Friendship"

Newly acquired New England Patriots tight end Alge Crumpler had some inside information on the Patriots courtesy of a friendship that was formed during a USO Tour to troops stationed in the Middle-East in 2007.  To read more about how Crumpler made his "well informed decision" in joining the Patriots, follow this link to be directed to the article as it appears in the Boston Herald.

   

Getting Another Chance...

After being removed for the Duke University Football team in January,John Drew, Kyle Griswould, and Brandon Putnam plead guilty to possession of a weapon on educational property and carrying a concealed weapon.  After thorough negotiations and litigation, the three players were fortunate to leave the courthouse receiving only probation in addition to paying the standard fines and fees associated with the charges.  To learn more about the proceedings as well as the members involved, follow the below links to their respective websites:
